Hello There!
It is fall once again, and I am overjoyed. Autumn is my favorite season, so it makes me excited to hear about all the new trends and throw on sweaters and boots. Last year I talked about my love for the color oxblood, and it got a lot of buzz. So this year I chose a new favorite color for fall, and this year it's forest green. It is such a rich color and so sophisticated, and looks awesome with gold and cornflower blue. Here are some of my favorite pieces in my new favorite hue:
If you are afraid to wear forest green clothing, you can wear it on your nails on your face! I love this forest green polish by
Essie in "Going Incognito," because it is a creme-finish polish that wears beautifully on the nails and is opaque in about two coats. It is also one of the only inexpensive dark green polishes that I can find, and I love it!
If you want to wear some green makeup, because who doesn't, then I would wear it as either a liner or in the outer corner. For a great sparkly liner, I would choose the
Stila waterproof liner for its longevity, and for shadow I would choose the
ELF palette in Day to Night, which has a great matte forest green that is pigmented and blends beautifully. Both would work well to give subtle edge to any makeup look. However, blending a shimmer-y deep green shadow over the lid and buffing a chocolate brown into the crease can also make a fun evening eye.
If you want to go for full on green, I love forest green jeans or a deep emerald top. I found lovely
green jeans on Stylebop, that are a bit expensive but would go with just about everything. However, if you want forest green with a twist
Urban Outfitters has a really cool pair in a pine ombre shade. There are also lots of deep green tops out there that can be worn under big cardigans, like a
tank top from ASOS or a
sweater with elbow patches from Burberry. Both look great with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and black or dark brown riding boots.
I love forest green because it goes with just about everything, and looks so gorgeous with lots of black and a pop of color.
What is your favorite color for fall?
