One Dollar Monday!

Hello There!

I was inspired by Nouveau Cheap to share some of my favorite products that are just one dollar.

I love this brush because it is the quality of a more high end brush, and yet it is so inexpensive. I have washed this brush a million times, and still I find it is still fluffy and soft.

This is my go to primer. It goes on sheer, and blends to be smooth and create a matte canvas for your shadow. I put this on before my eye makeup, and even when I don't wear shadow I still put this on so my eyelids do not get oily.

This liquid liner is so pigmented. It goes on super black, and once it dries it stays in place for the entire day. The only problem I find with this liner is that the formula is slightly wet, so just keep your eyes closed for a few seconds before continuing with your makeup.

This lipstick is so gorgeous! It may just be a dupe for MAC Show Orchid. This lipstick is so creamy and pigmented, and lasts for ages on the lips. It has a cool blue shimmer that is super unique and makes your teeth look really white too.

I love this quad! These shadows are so pigmented and they blend so easily. As you can see from the packaging, I have used this quad to death, and I especially love the white-gold shade on the left side of the quad. All the shades have a hint of shimmer, but numbers 2 and 3 are mostly matte. You can use numbers 1 and 4 for a neutral everyday look, or add shadows 2 and 3 for a smokey nighttime look.

I love all of these products, and would most definitely repurchase them and highly recommend them.

What are some of your one dollar products that you absolutely love?

My Summer Makeup Routine

Hello There!

Throughout the summer I have been wearing minimal makeup. However, when I do "put on my face," I wear light makeup and only use a few products. For the past few weeks, I have been wearing lots of mascara and a bright lip to focus on my eyes and bring color to my face. Here's what I've been wearing:

The Products::

MAC Studio Fix: I love this full coverage powder in the summer time because it gives you flawless skin without feeling too heavy. I like to apply the powder with the ELF powder brush, which applies the powder really smoothly and helps it blend easily. The shade is NC35.

Clinique Quick Corrector: I like this product because it applies like liquid concealer and dries like a cream concealer, with really nice coverage. I apply this minimally on my under eyes and on major blemishes. The shade is Moderately Fair.

Mark Kay Eyebrow Pencil: I like this dry, waxy pencil to give shape to my brows. I fill them in quickly and brush them through with a spooly for natural looking brows. The shade is blonde.

Physician's Formula Organic Wear Mascara: This mascara really brings the focus to my eyes, and holds up in the heat! I apply a coat of mascara, let it dry, and let go back in and apply one more coat for extra volume. It hols a curl and does not flake or smudge either.

NYC Color Wheel Blusher: When I want a natural flush to my cheeks, I always turn to this blush. It is very pigmented and blends beautifully, and gives my cheeks a rose-y glow without looking overdone. The shade is Rose Glow.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick: The entire summer I have been obsessed with this color. It is a deep berry shade with a creme finish that is gorgeous and flatters my fair complexion. The shade is 09.

These products have been my holy grail summer products.

What have you been wearing this summer?

What's on My Playlist? | July

Hello There!

I have been studying at Stanford and traveling around Northern California for a few weeks now (photos to come), and throughout these last four weeks I have discovered some awesome music. So I thought I would do an extra long post to tell you about some tunes I have been enjoying since I have been gone.

I have been loving loads of different kinds of music, and some of these are classics that I will be loving for a long time.

What music have you been enjoying this summer?
